I am a clinical research informaticist and rural health researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. My research focuses on using electronic health record (EHR) data for research, quality improvement, and associated support tooling. My overarching goal is to enhance the secondary use of EHR
data through the expansion of secure data sharing, interoperable data standards, and advanced tooling to support clinical and translational research. Since 2020, I have been active as a researcher and analyst in the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C), including co-leading the Rural Health Domain Team, which seeks to understand the epidemiology, utilization, treatment, and outcomes
of the COVID-19 pandemic in rural communities.
