Akash Patel, MPH, is an epidemiologist working in the Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. As a member of the Health Equity, Law, and Policy in Epidemiologic Research team, he has been involved with the Michigan COVID-19 Recovery Surveillance Study which seeks to understand the experiences of Michigan residents before, during, and after their confirmed COVID-19 illness.
