Hend Azhary is an Assistant Professor in the MSU Department of Family Medicine. She also serves as the Lansing Clerkship Director. Hend sees patients at the Family Health Center and at Sparrow hospital . She is also engaged in teaching CHM medical students.. Her research interests focus on diabetes and cardiovascular studies , also on challenges in health care delivery for immigrant populations . She has contributed extensively to medical relief efforts through the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) in Jordan , North Iraq and Turkey.
