Azeddine Ibrahimi is the General Director of the Mohammed VI Center for Research & Innovation and Professor of Medical Biotechnology at the University Mohammed V Rabat, Morocco. Pr. Ibrahimi has completed his graduate studies in Biochemistry Center at Nice–Sophia Antipolis University and his training in the US at Stony Brook University, where he joined its faculty in 1999. Back to Morocco, he founded the Medical Biotechnology lab (MedBiotech) at the Rabat Medical School in Rabat and acting as head of the department. He is interested in using molecular tools, molecular docking and genomics approaches into different areas especially in the fields of Infectiology and cancer. He was awarded grant support from numerous public/private institutions and foundations notably the National Institute of Health and American Heart Association. He is an adjunct professor and consultant to different Moroccan institutions. He has widely published and has lectured in national and international meetings, particularly on precision medicine and digital health. Professor Ibrahimi was part of the Moroccan Covid-19 Scientific committee and has been involved with numerous international organizations including the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association and founder of the Moroccan Bioinformatics network and the Moroccan Medical Biotechnology Society. He received different distinctions throughout his career.
