Dr. Langenfeld is a board-certified emergency physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at University of Nebraska Medical Center where he serves as Associate Residency Program Director and EM Director of Simulation. He previously served as EM Vice Chair for Education at Creighton University School of Medicine as well as serving as an active-duty United States Air Force physician, where he was involved in simulation and education with focus on unit-based training and team dynamics. He has directed simulation and education in regional, national, and international forums and has served as a subject matter expert and developed curriculum for national training programs including NDMS focused on management of highly-infectious disease. Professional interests include resident and student education, team training and dynamics, and education and readiness through simulation.
