As an onco-immunology PhD student, I’ve always been attracted to scientific research. This passion arose during my Master’s project when I had to study the prevalence of the MTHFR polymorphism in the Moroccan population. This subject helped me to understand and apply the right methodology to approach and answer an innovative scientific question. I have subsequently began my PhD under the supervision of Professor Abdallah Badou, Director of the Laboratory of Immunogenetics and Human Pathology (LIGEP) at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco. My current research focuses on how cancer cells modulate the immune cell response through various ligand-receptor interactions, including the immune checkpoint pathway. Understanding these interactions and downstream pathways could help improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.
