Dr. Ramjee Ghimire, Michigan State University, USA

Ramjee P. Ghimire, Ph.D., is a Global Outreach and Network Specialist in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), and the Institute for Global Health (IGH) at Michigan State University (MSU). He has been involved in multidisciplinary research, training, and outreach focusing on One Health, food safety, animal health, community empowerment and sustainable agricultural development in Asia, Africa, and the U.S. Dr. Ghimire is the recipient of the CANR Global Scholar award. As a global scholar, he successfully designed and offered an “International Short Course in Zoonotic Diseases” in collaboration with several national and international organizations. He also served as the core member of the MSU Departmental (Animal Science) Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Dr. Ghimire earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, focusing on international agricultural development. He is vice president of the Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas (NAPA). Dr. Ghimire is the leading investigator for the Mekong One Health Innovation Program (MOHIP) (2023-2025), which is funded by the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
