Dr. Ying Zhang

Dr. Ying Zhang, University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA

Dr. Ying Zhang received a PhD in statistics from the University of Washington in 1998. He is currently a professor and chairperson in the Department of Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and serves as the Director of GP IDeA-CTR BERD Core.  Dr. Zhang has over 25 years of experience in conducting statistical methodology research, participating in collaborative scientific research, teaching biostatistics courses, and mentoring PhD students in biostatistics, statistics, and applied mathematics. He has published widely in statistical methodologies, covering non-/semi-parametric modeling, survival and longitudinal data analysis, statistical computing, and clinical trials. In addition, Dr. Zhang has extensive experience working on collaborative research projects in clinical trials, biomedical research, behavioral science, and implementation science. He has successfully conducted or contributed to many NIH-funded grants as both principal investigator and co-Investigator. He is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association.
